I wish you the best in finishing it Gary. I imagine it is much like website design - it ends up taking so much longer than you imagined. Cool wave, reminds me of a storm last fall I witnessed here in the Great Lakes. Waves crashing against the bluffs were huge.

Keep going, Gary, and best to you. That's right, that's the key. Never say die and don't let up. Whew, this is my lesson and path right now too.

Gary, good luck with the book. Follow up posts describing your writing process would be so welcomed. I ask selfishly, as I've embarked on a similar project (writing a book, though not on photographing northern CA:) and have scraped and tripped and suffered gracelessly through the process of...defining a process. Ouch. Who'd have thought??

I received a degree in writing from UC Boulder but in all that time, not one class covered process (or craft), while most books I've encountered address creativity. My challenge - and I'm curious to hear whether you faced something similar - has been to organize my ideas and the concepts I work with cohesively, and also to have a modular approach that allows areas of my project to scale as new ideas spring up.

Regardless, I hope the rest of your project goes well!
