Big Sur? No, Sir.
Picture: High above the Pacific Ocean along the steep and rugged hills of the Sonoma County coast, California

Several miles north of Jenner and Goat Rock State Beach, Highway One takes on a very familiar feel for anyone who has driven along the Big Sur Coast. High, steep, very curvy, and on weekends, packed with tourist traffic.
Years ago I got a chance to do some aerial plane-to-plane photography along the same stretch of coast.

I bet that was a lot of fun! That is a cool perspective of the Big Sur coast!

Ron: It would be a cool perspective on the Big Sur Coast, except that Big Sur is about 180 miles south of this location.

The first time I went up past Jenner, I was blown away. Just like Big Sur without the traffic. Unfortunately I haven’t been back since that couple was killed in their tent a few years ago. Too scared.
